Sweet Little Feet

Hi, I'm Sophia- a research scientist and mother to two wonderful kids, including a clubfoot cutie. Having your first child is a veritable onslaught of new experiences, including both positive and negative stressors, and those feelings can be even more intense if your first child is born with any type of birth defect. Our gorgeous, spirited daughter was born in November of 2018 with unilateral clubfoot and shortly thereafter diagnosed with hip dysplasia.  That first year of casting, surgery, harness- and brace-wearing was one of the most turbulent of our lives thanks to the layering of hospital visits and caring for a clubfoot cutie on top of all the other experiences that come with being a first-time parent.  I created this website to both share our experiences and to provide some resources for other caregivers finding themselves in a similar position, with the hope of connecting the community of parents and caregivers of children with clubfeet with helpful resources and building a network of support.
